Although Mike Smith's career in radio began in Jacksonville at the now defunct WPDQ Q92 in 1987, he is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. His career in radio now spans almost 20 years. The bulk of his radio experience hails from Clear Channel's sister station WYLD FM98 in New Orleans. It was there he hosted Sunday Morning Gospel Inspirations, and produced the Tom Joyner Morning Show for many years before relocating to the Jacksonville area in 2002.Mike has also served as Sports Director (primarily covering the New Orleans Saints), and Music Director for WYLD Amen940's gospel station.Mike is currently the producer for the Steve Harvey Show on radio station WSOL V101.5FM, and "The Breakfast Club" on sister station WJBT 93.3FM The Beat.Mike is also the Community Affairs Director for both stations, and he is the talk show host for Community Viewpoint which airs every Sunday morning at 7am on V101.5FM. and 93.3FM The Beat at 7:30am.
