It was all about Doja Cat when the 22nd Annual BET Awards announced its nominations yesterday.
She picked up nominations in six categories, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, and Album of the Year for “Planet Her.”
She’s the only artist to be nominated in both R&B/pop and hip-hop categories. Ari Lennox and Drake came in a close second, picking up four nod apiece. Meanwhile, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s Silk Sonic, Chlöe, Future, H.E.R, Jazmine Sullivan, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Baby, Mary J Blige, and Tems all picked up three nods apiece.
Taraji P Henson will host the kudofest, which will air live on BET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on June 26th.
