If the powers-that-be have their way, R Kelly will be in jail well into his 70s. Federal prosecutors from the Eastern District of NY – the ones who won a conviction against him last September – filed their recommendation for his sentencing.
At this point, the prosecutors believe there's more than enough reason to send him away for “in excess of 25 years.” According to the paperwork, his history of enticing minors and his recordings of child pornography – in addition to the “physical and psychological” abuse of women – is more than enough reason to ask for the extended time.
We’ll find out what the judge does when Kelz is sentenced on June 29th.
