Eggs are getting more expensive again.
Prices for the household staple climbed 19-point-one-percent in July compared with the same month last year, according to Consumer Price Index data.
July also marked the third consecutive month that egg prices increased on an annual basis. Market Research Analyst Caitlinn Hubbell says the "short answer, we think, is related to avian influenza," also known as bird flu. Hubbell added that changes in egg prices will depend on the state of the bird flu.
