R. Kelly Charged With 11 New Counts Of Sexual Abuse

Trouble keeps on following R. Kelly as the disgraced R&B singer was charged with 11 additional felony counts of sexual abuse on Thursday (May 30).

As per court records via CBS Chicago, the new charges, which were filed by a grand jury in Illinois, include four counts of aggravated criminal sex assault, three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim between the ages of 13 and 16, two counts of criminal sex assault by force and two counts of aggravated criminal sex abuse. Some of the charges carry a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. Kelly is scheduled to face the allegations in court on June 6.

Back in February, Kelly was arrested and charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He was accused of abusing four women, three of whom were underage at the time of the alleged events. He later when on to visit CBS This Morning to speak with co-host Gayle King in his now-infamous interview, where he broke down and claimed that the allegations against him were all lies.
