Chloe Bailey has proven that she's a superstar in her own right, and her steamy performance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards was just the cherry on top. On Sunday night, the singer took the stage at the legendary award show for the first time as a solo artist, performing her new single "Have Mercy" and showing off all of her bootylicious moves. The star donned a pink leotard and blonde locs as she stunned the audience with her Medusa inspired aesthetic and a "Booty so big" dance break.

Beyonce's young protege was introduced by her little sister Halle, who gushed over her big sister's solo success, exclaiming "I Love You, Chloe!" The hot performance comes just days after Chloe had the Internet in an uproar with her sexy visuals for "Have Mercy", with critics slamming the 23-year old for showing too much skin. On Saturday, Chloe took to Instagram Live to shut down her haters during a fan Q&A session. When one fan asked, “Why are you showing so much skin?”, the Grown-ish star confidently clapped back,

"Because I can. It’s my body and I’m so proud of it, and I hope you’re proud of yours too.”

Chloe has been very vocal in recent years about embracing her curves and sexuality. The young star told MTV News

“Men can glorify ass in their videos, I want to do it with this in a really artful, fun, beautiful way. And I think it’s so great how women can claim their ownership of their bodies and not let the world do it. We get to do it in the way that we want to, and it was really fun!”
