R Kelly's New Jail Friend...An Accused Subway Shooter

R Kelly is facing life in prison when he’s sentenced on June 15th. Until then, he’s making the most of his time in jail in Brooklyn.

For instance, he often performs for his captive audience. Kelz reportedly silenced a crowd in the visiting room at Metropolitan Detention Center when he stood in his jail fatigues and gave an a cappella performance of “I Believe I Can Fly.” According to a source present for the impromptu concert, even correction officers watched in stunned silence.

He also sings while he’s in his cell. And the convicted king of R&B is making friends. R and Frank James – the man accused in the Brooklyn subway shooting last month. Three sources said that the men get along famously. They eat together, talk about TV shows, and go to the rec together. “They’re buds,” a source said.
