Travis Scott Donates $1 Mil To Help Black College Students Graduate

Travis Scott is doing his part to make sure hundreds of Black college students graduate on time. His Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund has awarded a hundred students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities a million dollars to make sure that they aren’t derailed by last-minute financial hurdles.

Soon-to-be graduates who earned at least a 3-point-5 GPA in their final semester each got $10-thousand. Among the scholars are Florida A&M University pharmacy major Nisha Encarnacion, who is from the US Virgin Islands and paid her own way through college while supporting her mother and daughter; Fisk University computer science major Chisom Okwor, whose goal is to help transform developing countries in Africa; and North Carolina Central University broadcast journalism major Jordan Massey, who took on a ton of debt to get his communications degree.

The gifts were part of Project HEAL.
