Beyoncé. Shaboozey. 2024 has definitely been a watershed moment for R&B artists to venture into country music.
With both Beyonce and Shaboozey scoring huge successes in the genre, it may certainly be inviting for others to follow in their footsteps - and one R&B singer is lining up to take her shot.
90s R&B legend Monica is about to wade into the country waters, with an album("Open Roads") produced by GRAMMY-award winner Brandi Carlile. Monica isn't leaving her R&B roots behind; she also has an upcoming album, "MDA," that long-time fans would feel right at home with.
Both Monica's R&B and country albums are expected to be released later this year!
