Today Marks Anniversary Of Dollar General Shooting In Jacksonville, FL

Today marks a somber anniversary in Jacksonville, Florida. It was one year ago that three people were killed in a racially-motivated shooting at a Dollar General store.

The shooter committed suicide.

A memorial was held yesterday where Mayor Donna Deegan spoke and said she felt a personal responsibility that this horrific act of violence happened under her watch. She says we must continue to confront the ideologies that fuel such hatred.
