More witnesses are testifying in the Tyre Nichols trial as it continues. Former Officer Emmett Martin returned to the stand for cross-examination.
An ex-girlfriend of former Officer Demetrius Haley described a phone call with Haley and a picture sent to her the night of the beating. Paramedics who treated Nichols also took the stand and said he flat lined and was revived on the way to the nearest hospital.
They also described Nichols' condition when they arrived on scene. Former officers Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley and Justin Smith are on trial for the beating death of Nichols during a traffic stop in 2023.
Former Officers Emmett Martin and Desmond Mills have accepted plea deals in exchange for testimony.
