South Florida is under a Red Flag Warning until 8p.
"Low humidity and increasing winds that is leading to these critical firewall concerns today," said National Weather Service's Robert Molleda.
He adds, the winds will send smoke from the more than 22,000-acre brushfire burning in deep South Miami-Dade into much of metro southeast Florida... Raising red flags for Baptist Health's Dr. Carlos Penaherrera.
"The actual smoke particulate can irritate your Airways, so things like sneezing and coughing watery eyes would be another set of symptoms," said Dr. Penaherrera.
He recommends people with respiratory issues say indoors, keep windows and doors closed and keep the AC - with a fresh air filter - running.
