Brevard County Teacher Pulled From Classroom

Two days after being reassigned to a new school and one day after bodycam footage was released, a Florida teacher has been placed on administrative leave.

Former Roosevelt Elementary teacher Karly Anderson under investigation after her apparent attendance at a house party in Cocoa Beach in January, where about 200 underage kids attended and some were drinking.

She was reassigned to Saturn Elementary before the Brevard County Public School Board announced Tuesday that Anderson has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of her court case and an internal district investigation.

Anderson is facing two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication.

The district said that because the original felony charges were reduced to misdemeanor charges, Anderson was allowed to continue teaching. She previously tendered her resignation, but later rescinded it.
