The Emmys are this weekend. "Severance" leads the nominations with a massive 27 nods, dominating the drama categories and staking its claim as the season’s top contender. Close behind is "The Penguin", which racked up 24 nominations. "The Studio" and "The White Lotus" followed with 23 each, with “The Studio” tying the all-time record for most comedy nominations in a single year (”The Bear” grabbed 23 noms in 2024).
Presenters this year include Stephen Colbert, whose “Late Show” was recently canceled, joining nominees, past winners, and stars promoting new projects.
Fans of “Gilmore Girls” may see a reunion with Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel for the show’s 25th anniversary. “Wednesday” stars Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones are also set to present, among others.
Meanwhile, Emmy host Nate Bargatze could also pull double duty as a winner, because he scored a nom for his comedy special “Your Friend, Nate Bargatze.”
The big night airs Sunday, live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ at 8PM Eastern
