A health expert is explaining how to tell the difference between allergies and a cold.
Cleveland Clinic allergist Doctor Sandra Hong says a fever, soar throat and a wet cough are more common with a cold which typically lasts one to two weeks and can make you feel achy.
She says allergies will happen every year and are chronic while colds resolve on their own.
She says fall allergy flareups are commonly triggered by types of weeds and ragweed and an allergist can come up with a treatment plan.
