Fitness and Health Short Cuts Do They Work?

I talk to people all the time who believe skipping meals is a good short cut to weight loss. The problem is they get really hungry at times when there is no healthy food choices available. Fast food restaurants are everywhere, convenience stores and vending machines are also easy to find. Those businesses tend not to have fresh produce and foods that will properly fuel their body. For most people it tends to increase their body fat percent because they increase their junk food intake.

I'd like to suggest that surgeries for weight loss should be the last resort. So many people think of surgeries as a short cut to simply beginning an exercise and nutrition program. The problem is there is a lot of risk involved from infections to other life threatening complications.

Another fitness short cut people believe is safe is using weight loss supplements. Most weight loss supplements are not approved by the FDA. Whether they are an appetite suppressant or meal replacements... they may come with life threatening sign effects.

The fitness short cut that i see most in the gym is when people don't warm up and stretch before working out. The warm-up should gently prepare the body for exercises by gradually increasing the heart rate and circulation; this will loosen the joints and increase blood flow to the muscles. Stretching the muscles prepares them for physical activity and prevents injuries.

Here are 6 Short cuts that work:

1. Stop Drinking Alcohol

It is tough to quit drinking, but once you stop drinking, you will get effective results in just a month. If you’re a regular drinker, this will help you slim down faster than any other thing.

Of course, this does not mean you have to quit for a lifetime. Once you get effective results, you can slowly start drinking in little amount. Just think how much you were supposed to drink before and subtract a little from that.

2. Drink Plenty Of Water

You must have read this many times because it really works. Our body gets dehydrated, and this creates hunger. Therefore, drinking plenty of water is the easiest way to rest your appetite.

Drinking water will keep your body hydrated, so aim to drink at least 5 to 8 glasses of water every day. If you fail to reach there, just do your best.

3. Sleep In

This is said to be one of the easiest ways to slim down. All you need to do is to log eight hours of peaceful sleep. Most people don’t know that sleep directly affects the hormones that controls your satiety and hunger.

By clocking eight hours of sleep every night, we can keep our body hormones balanced and appetite in control.

4. Eat The Whole Diet Food

When you start eating while dieting food, it means you are eating the food in its natural state. Basically, we reject whole grain food because of the bits that remain after processing and refinement.

The difference is just like between an apple and apple juice, smashed potato and baked potato.

5. Eat Eggs For Breakfast

The research has shown that when you start your day with 1-2 eggs, you can lose up to 70% more calories during the day. The reason behind this is that eggs help to increase satiety and reduce food intake for the entire day.

6. Make Your Snack Time Healthy

If you eat chocolate bars on your snack time, and your gym partner eat a handful of nuts, he/she will lose more weight than you by the end of the year. This is a fact!
