If you need another reason to skip the elevator, a new study says regularly climbing stairs could lower your risk of dying from heart disease by 39%.
Researchers reviewed data from more than 480,000 people and found that those who routinely took the stairs were also 24% less likely to die from any cause and had lower risks of heart attack, stroke, and heart failure.
Experts say stair climbing is one of the easiest ways to sneak exercise into your day. No gym membership, special equipment, or workout schedule required.
