Sebring, FL - A Sebring woman was arrested after allegedly sending hundreds of threatening messages to local law enforcement and recording herself driving past the police department.

Authorities reported, the 27-year-old allegedly sent nearly 200 messages and posts to Sebring police officers via Facebook Messenger over a four-hour period on the evening of August 29th.

Many of the messages were described by police as too vulgar to release publicly.

Authorities shared some of the messages, which included threats to throw Molotov cocktails through the police department if officers did not respond.

In another message, the suspect allegedly wrote, “This is a threat come find me I want to kill you.”

Investigators also reported claims that bottles of gasoline were hidden around the building and that the suspect recorded a video of herself driving past the police department shortly after sending the messages.

Highlands County detectives opened an immediate investigation after receiving the messages.

A warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest, and she was taken into custody on August 30th without incident.

She was booked into the Highlands County Jail, where her bond was set at $63,000.

Jail records indicate the suspect faces charges including sending a written threat to kill, using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, and threatening a law enforcement officer with death or serious bodily harm.

The Sebring Police Department posted a statement emphasizing that while First Amendment rights are protected, threats of violence are not tolerated.
