Luxury movie theater, CineBistro, could be headed to Jacksonville

It's no secret that as the movies got more expensive, people started attending less. So what did theaters do? They began making upgrades to their seats and even their menus. But even the current upgrades don't compare to those of the new luxury cinema looking to break-ground in Jacksonville.

According to the Jacksonville Daily Record, developer Jeff Fuqua is planning on bringing CineBistro to the Exchange near southeast Butler Boulevard and I-295. It's described as being a "world-class 'dinner-and-a-movie' concept."

The theater will include a full menu and bar in it's location, catering to an adult crowd. Menu items in areas like Sarasota include lobster roll sliders, seared scallops, shrimp mac & cheese, wagyu beef sliders and New York strip steak. With a bar menu including cocktails, beer and whole bottles of wine available for purchase.

This ultimate luxury experience does come at a price, with a night at the movies ranging from $80 to $100 before you even get alcohol.

CMX CineBistro is a subsidiary of Cinemax with five locations in Florida already including: Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Sarasota, Doral and Miami. Visit one and tell us what you think!
