Brandy Norwood has been revealed as the mystery vocalist on the new theme song for Netflix's A Different World reboot.
The video released by Netflix shows Norwood performing the reboot's theme song with a modernized beat and lyrics. The 47-year-old singer expressed her excitement at being chosen to recreate the iconic theme song for the beloved sitcom.
The reboot will feature original cast members reprising their roles and will premiere on Netflix on September 24. A Different World, a spinoff of The Cosby Show, originally aired for six seasons from 1987 to 1993 and is credited with popularizing historically black colleges and universities.
